The Sigg Collection is the foremost and most comprehensive collection of Chinese contemporary art in the world, consisting of some 2300 works dating from its beginnings in 1979 to today, across all media. Its purpose is to mirror the short history of Chinese contemporary art since there is no such collection neither in Mainland China nor outside. In 2012, 1463 works were donated and 47 works were sold to the M+ Museum of Visual Arts in Hong Kong.
