Roman Signer performance on the Jet d’Eau

Courtesy of Häusler Contemporary
curated by Manuella Denogent

This Swiss artist has conceived this project for Geneva: it consists of a temporary action using the power of the famous Genevan water jet to propel a red spinnaker fabric into the air. As always with Signer, the sculpture is ephemeral, though documented in film and photographs. The performance of Roman Signer was organised on the occasion of the opening of the first edition of the Sculpture Garden biennale in the Parc des Eaux-Vives (June 8 – September 8 2019.

The production of this performance benefited from the support of the City and State of Geneva services.
