Michael Craig-Martin / 2020

édition 2020

These colorful flags by Michael Craig-Martin (2019) will be installed among the booths of artgenève 2020.

The flags—depicting mass-produced everyday items, such as sunglasses and shoes—probe the relationship between objects and images, harnessing the human capacity to imagine absent forms through symbols and pictures. This specific pictorial language is central to Craig-Martin’s work. The work was recently installed on Bond Street in London, as part of the Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition.
