artgenève/sculptures 2022: Readymade
For the first iteration of artgenève/sculpture, our booth features works which dialogue with Marcel Duchamp’s choice to present a mass-produced urinal as sculpture. The objects exhibited inhabit various roles – as effigies, surrogates, conceits, simulations, phantoms, parodies, clichés, ripostes, hyperboles – to display diverse and compelling manifestations of the readymade in the past century.
